Research Interest:

We are interested in creating new porphyrinoid and polyaromatic hydrocarbon-based macrocyclic architectures with distinct (anti)aromatic and radicaloid character. We study their structure and electronic properties using various modern analytical methods and theoretical calculations. Newly synthesized macrocycles are designed to exhibit novel properties suitable for various applications, such as bioimaging, organic solar cells, OLEDs, OFETs, photodynamic and photothermal conversion therapy. We are also interested in stabilizing unusually high oxidation of transition metal ions with N-confused porphyrionid ligand systems.
