Research Interests

We are interested on the synthesis of compounds containing low-valent main group and transition metal elements. Our main object is to synthesis new compounds of low-valent main group elements (mainly of groups 13 and 15) having unprecedented structure, bonding and reactivity. For the stabilization of these compounds, we use various carbenes including cyclic (alkyl)(amino)carbenes (cAACs). In general these compounds are highly reactive and we exploit this reactivity for various transformations including catalysis and small molecules activation. Various sophisticated synthetic techniques as well as modern analytical and computational methods are used to reach the targets. We are also interested on the synthesis and applications of various inorganic main chain polymers and metal containing polymers.
